Ch-ch-ch-changes...
Nov. 18th, 2007 01:32 pmI'm working on getting past the "Why am I never good enough?" feeling of being fired. I'll let you know how that goes.

So, in the next couple weeks, my goals are:
1. Finish NaNo -- about 4k a day if I'm going to finish...
2. Find some temp work; manufacturing would be good, good pay, mindless work, don't have to worry about it
3. Take the GRE
4. E-mail people at Northern for letters of recommendation (explanation below)
In doing some research, I found out that CSU has a masters program in both archives/records management and in museum work. I still kinda want to get my library science, but I've really been more interested in archives/research than in things like being a children's librarian and all those events that libraries have. So I think this might be a good step to take instead. Deadline for application with financial support for Fall 2008 is February 1. So I have a little over two months to get this together enough to get the application in on time.
In other other news, I think I have an idea that I might turn into a television pilot script. I don't know quite what the plot is, but I have an interesting hook that would work for TV. I'm not sure it would work for books, since it's kind of a visual-ish thing... But I kinda want to do a one-hour drama/mystery thing with elements of comedy. I have to think about it some more, but it might be an interesting exercise.

Firefox has just encountered an error. Again. Second time in the last twenty minutes. All I wanted to do was check my bank balance you fucking wankers! Thankfully, I'm using Semagic to write this rather than the posting box on the web browser...
