Nearing the End of November
Nov. 25th, 2008 11:36 amI broke 30,000 words! I'm very happy. If I don't finish NaNo this year (which I'm still going to try to do), I'm at least making progress with how much I'm doing every year.
I moved my desk. I switched it so it was against the wall. I have to put up a mirror so I can see my TV, but I probably should've done that in the first place.
Okay, this is going to sound weird, even for me. But I swear I issued a library card to one of the fey folk yesterday. I don't know, but this kid just looked so elfish: his features were all pointy: pointy chin, pointy ears, even his hair was spiked. He was a couple inches shorter than me, too. It was like staring at the model for a cover of a book. I just couldn't help thinking that he was from Underhill and came to our side of the hill to learn about humans (gods know why...), and so he decided to go to the library like any sensible magical being.
...My head is a strange place. But seriously, this kid looked so. much. like an elf. It was just bizarre.
..."kid". Jeez, he was 20. Why do I do that?
Um...yeah. I've been all productive and shit the last couple of days. I got the dishes done before 10:00 yesterday, and I'm chipping away at the mess in my room. Which reminds me, I have to get a whole bunch of the stuffed animals out of my closet to donate them. I don't know if they should go to Crossroads Safehouse or to just the Salvation Army or what... Hmm.
