I've been slightly productive. I think my room hasn't been this clean since I moved back in.
It's not perfect, by any means, but most of my clothes are folded and in drawers, and my books and movies are more or less on shelves. Still tons of clutter, but they're confined to spaces for now. If I put my uber-bean bag up on the bed, I have room to work out. Shiny.
And I did a bit of organizing in my iTunes, so now I'm just listening to random music. It's weird what you end up with when you download fanmixes... I actually have a couple Killers tracks, and I can't stand the Killers, so they're unchecked. But still.
So, yeah.
And another DUDE!
Newsflash: It's not supposed to be 50 degrees F in bloody January (at least not in the norther hemisphere)! I don't even really want to contemplate the bitchslap the weather is going to hand us to balance this out... I'm not ready for winter to be over, damn it. Give me cold and snow some more!

So, guess what? The day after I get my job, I get calls from both temp agencies I'm signed up for. One of them is for a full-time position at a plastic injection molding place. Which I would've jumped at a week ago. But now that I actually have a library job, I'm looking for something else part-time to bring in more money.
The other call was for an actual short-term gig, starting tomorrow morning, 7 in the morning, at a greenhouse. Seven dollars an hour for standing around moving seedlings into other containers in preparation for planting season, I guess. And I asked, and they in fact encourage people to bring in walkmen or CD players or something so they have something to listen to while they work. Since we're there from 7-5 with a half-hour break. For four or five days, or however long it takes us all to get it done.
So, I'll get a couple hundred out of the gig. Which is good. As the great writer said, "Money helps."
