Winter Wonderland

It snowed! Yay! A beautiful clean, heavy wet snow is now blanketing most of my neighborhood. Including my car, which I need to get cleaned off before I go into town. But still. It's all good.

I do love winter. Why do I feel most content when the world is asleep/dead for the year? I wish I knew. But that's just me. I also enjoy spring, though I could do with milder summers.

In non-weather news, I signed up for a catering shift through my new temp agency. Only I thought it was tomorrow or Sunday, but it's tonight at CSU. Oh well. Seven hours at seven dollars an hour = maybe another gift for somebody, or possibly another tank of gas. Either way, it's fine. Though I do hope I can get something besides catering shifts, since I pretty much suck at them. Mostly it's the waste that I find distressing...

Anyhoo... No, I think that was it. Nothing special going on, I don't think.

Your comment about the waste reminded me of how I feel when I watch The Biggest Loser. They'll have "temptations" of piles and piles and piles of food, or they'll do a demonstration where they'll take the amount of weight lost and convert it into food and put it out there. I always wonder what happens to all that stuff later. It's usually junk food and pizza, but if they throw it out I'd be so pissed. There are so many people in this country that can't afford to eat but they waste so much just for a demonstration or something? D:
