Dragons, dragons everywhere!
Mar. 18th, 2010 11:14 pmSo I have finally gotten into Naomi Novik's Temeraire series. In audio book format, granted, but at least I'm "reading" it! I'm only on the second book, but it is very entertaining.
( Summary of below: Not reading as much lately, musing as to why )
Wow, that got melancholy.... Anyway, one of the books I have managed to read (in one day, nonetheless) was "Hard Corps: From Gangster to Marine Hero". Which was very entertaining, although I'm not entirely sure I *liked* it. Which is strange. But it's at least worth checking out of your local library.
Speaking of the library, I had my first official performance review thingie, and basically I was told that I need to work on a few things (which I mostly knew about already), but that in general I am a good, solid, dependable employee. My boss called me her "go-to" person. Which made me feel very good.
Also: I do not like St. Patrick's Day. It is a celebration of the demise of a culture, and most take the modern celebrations as an excuse to act like assholes and belittle the Irish people. So call me an overreactive PC bitch, but I don't like St. Patrick's Day.
Anyway, Daylight Savings Time is kicking my ass and I must prepare to go to a baby shower tomorrow and for walking two boxers for the next two and a half days.
Good night, friends!
