I don't know what's happening right now, but I'm getting back into movies, more than I have in the last year or so, at least.

Partly, there's several movies coming out soon that I really want to see, and hope don't suck. And I went and saw Clash of the Titans the other night with friends, and it was fun and pretty but not spectacular. I did just about die laughing when that stupid mechanical owl had a cameo. The pegasus(pegasi?) were gorgeous (other than the WTEF factor of having a pegasus in ancient Greece be an Andalusian?) and if we can continue to do mythical creatures that look that awesome, I say bring on the Temeraire movie (directed by Peter Jackson, whoo!)!

...Anyway, so there's two movies coming out soon that I want to see. The first is The Losers, which opens in two weeks-ish. Zoe Saldana and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Idris Elba and Chris Evans, and several guys that I don't know yet but I'm sure that when I do see it I will love them, too. Although the Spanish guy, Oscar Jaenada, looks a lot like Justin Long and I thought it was him for a moment, but it's not.

It looks like an awesome and fun kick-ass movie, so I'm going in with low plot expectations but high explosives expectations. But what's really hilarious is that Chris Evans is totally mimicking my friend's husband. I swear, in this movie Chris Evans is talking, moving, and acting so much like my friend's husband it's both amusing and disturbing.

Then there's the other movie coming out next month, Just Wright, which is a new Queen Latifah movie, where she plays a physical therapist who falls in love with the basketball player she gets back in playing shape after an injury. I love Queen Latifah, so I was going to see it anyway, and then I checked out the director (Sanaa Hamri) and she also directed another romance that I just checked out of the library, called Something New, and it was awesome. So, with an awesome leading lady and strong supporting cast, and an awesome director, I'm looking forward to this romance more than any of the other ones come out lately.

Anyway...babbling about movies. I want to see some. Yay!
